Alderman Drew Thompson
(Londonderry Waterside)
Drew was born and grew up in Londonderry and now lives in Nelson Drive, the largest loyalist estate in the Waterside. Drew is Chairman of the Caw/Nelson Drive Action Group, which offers advice services to the community on Welfare Rights, Housing, Roads and Environmental issues.
Drew is an Independent Member of the Local District Policing Partnership. He also chairs the Waterside Urban Forum and represents the Waterside on both local and area Consumer Housing Advice groups.
Drew is secretary of the Boys Brigade Old Boys Football team. He is also match secretary of the NW Junior League. With his vast experience of the issues facing communities today, Drew is a great asset to the existing DUP team of councillors.
Drew held the position of Deputy Mayor in 2010/2011.
