Alderman Gary Middleton
(Londonderry Rural)
Gary has been an active member of the DUP in Londonderry for a number of
years. Coming from a rural background in Newbuildings, he has a keen interest
in rural issues. Gary’s recent experience in local council has afforded
him a number of valuable contacts and opportunities in which to promote
the dynamics of young people in local politics. Gary is also an active member
within Church circles and the Loyal Orders.
In May 2010 Gary took on the role of election agent in Foyle for Maurice Devenney during his Westminster election campaign. In December 2010 Gary was unanimously selected to replace William Hay, who has served almost 30 years in the council.
